Our Story
If you ask Erin…
Apparently, we first met in July 2021 at Dig a Pony, but I can’t say remember that encounter due to being incredibly busy tearin’ up the dance floor. A few weeks later, we got a second chance at River Pig, meeting up for a casual beer with mutual friends. The bar closed way too early, if you ask me, and since it was one of those nights you never want to end, we headed back to my apartment and played games for hours (still one of our favorite things to do). By the end of the night, I was somehow waxing Trent’s armpits (which he loved), foreshadowing our never-boring life together.
At first, I thought we’d just be friends. But camping trips, beach fires, long talks, and even a bit of shared quarantine (after Trent generously gave me COVID) made it impossible to ignore the pull between us. It was unspoken, but we both knew something great was going to come from knowing each other.
Trent asked me to be his girlfriend on November 29, 2021, though I had fallen in love with him well before that. One of my favorite moments (Trent’s too)from shortly after that was bringing our families together for Christmas and getting a glimpse of the future we were starting to build.
For a while, we lived an hour and a half apart, filling the distance with nightly FaceTimes and long drives (mostly for Trent). By September 2022, we had officially moved in together, not because of a big conversation or grand gesture, but simply because we never wanted to be apart.
Since then, we’ve been building a life that oozes laughter, love, and friendship.
Over four years in, it already feels like we’ve been family forever. We’re so excited to make that official and celebrate our love and commitment to each other this summer, surrounded by the people who shaped us and have loved us through every chapter of life. Having you all together truly means the world to us.
